Chip Kidd is probably the world's most famous book designer. His work with Knopf Doubleday includes such classic covers as 1Q84, All the Pretty Horses, and David Sedaris's Naked. Recently, Kidd, who is one of our very favorite book cover designers, told TED about the essence of great book cover design.
