Come to the party - November 27 - Win a guitar!!!

Hi,

I'm Steven Roby author of Black Gold: The Lost Archives of Jimi Hendrix (Billboard Books), and I'm hosting a tribute/birthday party for what would have been Jimi's 65th birthday - some are even calling it a retirement party.

There will be an Air Guitar Contest open to all ages. The winner will win a purple electric guitar and case - you can see the guitar at the Corte Madera store or on my website. Take a look on You Tube for some tips on air guitar, but you will also be judged on costume, originality, and if you can play left handed. There will also be runner up prizes.

I will be showing a few rare Hendrix videos from my collection that night, and there will be time for Q&A, and book signing.

Guitarist Ralph Woodson will be playing live and does a wonderful tribute to Jimi. You can see Ralph and I on Saturday November 24 - KPIX Weekend News, and listen to KFOG-FM (104.5) on the morning show. Former Rolling Stone editor Ben Fong-Torres interviews me on KFRC on November 24.
